Corey Hebert of New Bedford MA ran to an easy win with a time of 17:36 and a 5:40 pace in the 5K. Second place went to Ryan Harding Rochester MAin a time of 18:59. Ed Duhamel from Cumberland RI ran 20:28 to nail down third place honors. Westport's Mary Cass broke the long standing Meg Hughes course record of 20:46with a nifty 19:50.25. At age 58 she has been on quite a roll since her spectacular win in Acushnet this past year. Meg, now an outstanding high school athlete, was just entering high school when she set the record.
Second place in the ladies 5K went to Jessica Keough of Cranston RI her time of 21:56 was just enough to edge out near by Acushnet runner,Jessica Pilla who ran 22:10. In the 10.5 miler, record holder Jason Eddy ran a 1:05:29. to nail down first place. Michael Obara of North Kingstown RI ran a 1:09:51 to finish in second, and Peter Danzell of New Bedford MA with a time of 1:10:49 finished in third. It was ladies day again in the record department as Kelly Sweeney of Plymouth MA ran a 1:10:01 to lower Janytzabell Rodriguez-Ramos's course record of 1:11:52. Janny had to settle for second place with a time of 1:12:22. Berkley's, Gretchen Parmentier,ran 1:15:45 for third place honors.
